Credit Card Processing App for iPhone Users

ProcessAway is coming to iPhone a little sooner than expected – great news for iPhone users who want to process credit card transactions with their phones.

ProcessAway will be available for a 30-day trial period on the developers’ website while it awaits official approval from Apple, at which point it should also be available as an official iPhone app. The ProcessAway software was submitted to Apple on January 26th but is still awaiting review.

Randy Palermo, a member of Rapadev, said “Our purpose is to allow merchants to start processing mobile transactions now and not subject them to the wait of Apple’s mysterious approval schedule.”

The ProcessAway application runs via Authorize.net, a gateway for secure financial payments. ProcessAway runs wirelessly and has appropriate security, but is not required to comply with Payment Card Industry security standards. Valid credit card numbers and expiration dates will have to be entered at the time of transactions, but will not be stored after authorization is complete.
ProcessAway users may wish to apply for compatible Capital Merchant Solutions accounts.

  1. Thanks.. Interesting – and always important to be aware!

  2. A Demo Mode would be nice to have like these guys do http://itouch2pay.com
I actually dowloaded that Demo to see how it works. Looks like iTouch2Pay does not store credit cards either.

  3. Is this application PCI compliant or PA-DSS compliant?
