Haband Signs Deal to Offer Private Label Credit Cards

Haband, a multi-channel retailer with over five million customers, has recently signed a long-term contract with Alliance Data Systems Corporation which will allow Haband, a division of Orchard Brands, to offer private label credit cards to their customers. Haband has a target market of consumers 50 years or older which is of course a relatively affluent demographic that increases in rank daily.

Ivan Szeftel, president of Retail Services for Alliance Data says his company is looking forward to working with Haband. “Through our full suite of private label credit card services, we have the ability to engage and incent Haband customers through targeted on-brand communications that build stronger customer relationships and brand loyalty. Our solution will allow Haband to connect with their customers, increasing sales and extending the brand.”

Alliance will be providing a broad range of services to Haband, including issuing private label cards, card authorization, statement generation, marketing and customer service functions. Alliance will also assist Haband in developing a loyalty rewards plan that will be affiliated with the private label credit card, to encourage greater connection between customers and the company. As Haband’s chief financial officer, Anthony Del Gaudio, has indicated, Haband is focused on delivering a positive shopping experience for their customers and they feel this new credit card program can only accentuate the experience.

Alliance Data already manages more than 100 million consumer relationships for many major North American companies. Alliance works with their clients to help them build strong and mutually beneficial relationships with their customers.
